The Madness
I love March Madness, it is something I look forward to every year. I love rooting for the underdogs, seeing seniors play their hearts out, watching the intensity of each and every game, and trying to pick the right winners...there is just nothing like it.
I think it is funny when you sit back and look at it from the outside how little the ncaa tournament means to my life. I know 0 players personally (on the men's side), I have not paid much attention to the rest of the season, and really it is just a bunch of guys running around trying to put a ball in a hoop. The outcome of every one of these games affects my life in no way whatsoever. But, I can't help being drawn to watch every minute I can of this non-stop excitement.
And I guess that is ok. There have been times in my life where I have even felt a little guilt for loving to watch this type of event so much. After all there are much more important things in lifeā¦.work, family, God, people, my marriage, church, etc. But, now I have come to the conclusion that spending a little time doing a useless task is not always a bad thing. In fact, sometimes it even helps to remind me of what is really important in life.
